High Quality Cast Tungsten Carbide Powder

High Quality Cast Tungsten Carbide Powder

The properties of cast tungsten carbide can be further improved by adding other materials to the binder, such as titanium or tantalum, to enhance corrosion resistance, or by adjusting the ratio of tungsten carbide powder to binder material to achieve specific mechanical properties.

설명

Description

Cast Tungsten Carbide Powder is a hard and wear-resistant material that is made by melting tungsten carbide powder and casting it into a mold. The result is a dense and homogeneous material with excellent mechanical properties and high wear resistance.

Cast tungsten carbide is used in several industrial applications, including mining and drilling tools, wear parts for pumps and valves, cutting tools for machining applications, and wear-resistant coatings for various surfaces. The material is particularly suited for harsh operating conditions, where high wear resistance and toughness are required.

The production process of CTCP involves melting pure tungsten carbide powder and adding a binder material, such as cobalt or nickel, to form a slurry. The slurry is then poured into a mold and cooled to form a solid block of cast tungsten carbide. The block is then ground into the desired shape and size using diamond tools.

Characters

1. Tungsten carbide powder (WC) is the main raw material for the production of cemented carbide. Its chemical formula is WC. Its hardness is similar to that of diamond. It is a good conductor of electricity and heat;
2. Tungsten carbide powder not only has high hardness, but also has the characteristics of wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance;
3. Melting point of tungsten is 2860 ºC± 50 ºC, boiling point is 6000 ºC, relative density is 15.63 (18 ºC), insoluble in water, strong acid resistance, high hardness and elastic modulus;
4. Pure tungsten carbide is fragile. If a small amount of titanium, cobalt and other metals are added, the brittleness can be reduced. Tungsten carbide, which is used as a steel cutting tool, is often added with titanium carbide, tantalum carbide or their mixture to improve its explosion resistance.
